SmokingPeople should not smoke because it can kill them. Smoking should be banned completely and taken away from every store because it is so bad for people. People should not be allowed to smoke near people that don't smoke. I've experienced this life of smoking from my dad's smoking. When I get home I stink and smell like smoke from a cigarette. Just because of his smoking he has croup andother health problems. That is why you should not smoke. It is for their childs health and their own. It is also for their friends and families sake because if they die someone dies from smoking they'll all miss the poor soul. Not only does my dad smoke but my step sisters smoke as well. Smoking can cause many organ diseases such as lung disease and heart disease. Smoking is a bad addiction to get into. If kids under nineteen smoke they could be arrested or fined. If you smoke it will take about fifteen years off your life. Tobacco smoke contains more than 4000 chemicals some of these chemicals are tar, saltpeter, and nicotine. These chemicals are dangerous because they can cause diseases in your lungs, heart and other organs. Women who smoke when they are pregnant hurt their babies because when you eat you don't just absorb it yourself you share it with your baby and when you smoke your baby has problems.Women who smoke when they're pregnant don't only harm the baby, they also harm the parent. Smoking is one lethal addiction that people have problems quitting. I've been helping my dad quit but it is no use. He just can't quit. He got used to it and can't get out. My aunt told me she started smoking because when she was a teenager all her friends thought it was cool so she tried. The next thing she knew, she became addicted. Once you become addicted it is almost impossible to quit. My dad switched to a brand of cigarettes that he hated, so I see he is on his way to quitting. My great grandpa had a major lung disease as a result of smoking, but managed to quit smoking when he was 55 years old and lived to the ripe old age of 82 years old. The lesson from this is "you are never too old to quit smoking!" |
